50 Reasons Why Superman is The Greatest Superhero Ever

5. Anyone Can Be A Superman

Superman is a symbol for the hero in all of us. We can be Supermen if we want to. We all have a great power within us and we can use it to change the world and make a better life for ourselves. Whether it's raising children, or fighting against tyranny, or volunteering for charities, we're engaging in the very preservation of life that Superman strives for and believes in, and through that, we become Superman and superheroes in the process. You don't need superpowers to be a hero.

4. Superman Survived Kevin Smith and Nic Cage

He is so powerful he survived the tinkering of Kevin Smith and Nicolas Cage. That's admirable, whether you're a fan or not. Cage who went on to destroy future comic book movies like "Ghost Rider" and "Kick Ass" was pretty much set in stone to star as the man of steel. But after much difficulty involving the development of the movie, Cage eventually moved on with his life. As for Kevin Smith he had a script already written based upon specifications from Warner, and lord only knows what havoc he'd have wreaked on the character.

3. He Was Not Invented By A Corporation

While characters like Batman and Spider-Man were invented by artists upon the demand of comic book companies, Superman was actually invented by young artists in their home who sought to make it in to the comic book business. They accidentally invented one the most iconic fictional character of all time, in the midst of aspiring for their dreams. Popular characters like Supergirl, Batman, and Spider-Man were invented to market off of the influence of Superman as a character and a best selling title.

2. He's Met And Fought Everyone

Shakespeare, Lucy Ricardo, Muhammad Ali, Xenomorphs, The Wildcats, The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Jerry Seinfeld, Bugs Bunny, The Predator, Green Lantern, God, The Avengers, The Terminator, Savage Dragon, any and all characters from DC Comics, He-Man, The Quik Bunny, Captain Carrot, The Thundercats, JFK, Santa Claus, Madman, Tarzan, Gen 13, Mr. Majestic, Witchblade, Darkness, the cast of Mortal Kombat, hell there isn't a corner of the comic universe that Superman hasn't travailed and witnessed for himself, because Superman is one of the most adaptable fictional characters of all time.
