6 Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man Across The Multiverse

5. Hulk

EARTH-70105: Bullet Points was set in a universe that is very similar to the mainstream 616, with one crucial difference. The bullet that kills Dr. Abraham Erskine (who created the super-soldier serum) does it's duty 24 hours earlier than in the 616. This sets off a tidal wave that affects some key characters in the Marvel Universe, most notably Steve Rogers, who never receives the super-soldier serum to become Captain America, and instead becomes the first pilot of the dangerous Iron Man armor that was created in WWII. This bullet also greatly affects the lives of Reed Richards, who loses his crew in the shuttle mission that gave the Fantastic Four thier abilities in the 616. Also affected are Bruce Banner, Tony Stark, and of course, Peter Parker. See, the bullet that killed Erskine 24 hours early also took the life of MP Benjamin Parker, who was guarding the doctor. This would result in Peter never meeting the man who made such an impact on his developing years, leaving him to be raised alone by his Aunt May, who often remarked how the boy would have benefitted from having her deceased husband around. Young Peter, who developed in this universe as a bit of a troublemaker, ended up wandering onto a testing site where they were testing a new bomb - a gamma bomb. This explosion bathes Peter with gamma radiation, transforming him into the Hulk. During one of his rampages, Hulk kills Steve Rogers (in the Iron Man armor) and then disappears in the desert for years. Bruce Banner, who was responsible for the gamma bomb that mutated Peter, spent his life trying to find a cure for the Hulk. This resulted in him getting bit by a gamma irradiated spider, marking a very interesting dynamic between these two tortured characters.
Peter/Hulk eventually returns to New York to defend the city against Galactus, who is proving difficult to stop with no Fantastic Four around. Hulk fights alongside other heroes of this universe, including the new Iron Man Tony Stark, Reed Richards: Director of SHIELD, and Bruce Banner as Spider-Man. Parker sacrifices his life against Galactus, and manages to drive the devourer of worlds away.
