6. Deadpool Kills Deadpool #3 by Cullen Bunn and Salva Espin (Marvel)
This is Cullen Bunn's final story arc in the Deadpool Killology which started with Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe, continued with Deadpool Killustrated and now ends with Deadpool trying to kill himself - and every other Deadpool in existence! - in Deadpool Kills Deadpool. The idea of the Killology is that Deadpool wants to die, once and for all, but can't because of something called "continuity" which keeps bringing him back. So he set out to kill every character in the Marvel Universe and when that failed he decided to kill the archetypes that those characters were based upon, going into the Ideaverse and killing all of literature's classic characters. When that failed, he came to believe that he and every other Deadpool in the universe were the progenitors of all life - and promptly set off to kill them all. DKD#3 is as bonkers as you would expect because every character is a version of Deadpool! There's a Wolverpool, a Silver Samupool, and even Galactipool shows up to eat the world like a giant chimichanga: awesome. So it's up to Deadpool, Lady Deadpool and Pandapool, along with a Watcher (not THE Watcher) who loves watching every version of Deadpool, who make up the Good Deadpools, to stop the Evil Deadpool from destroying life, the universe and everything. It's not as confusing as I'm making out I promise and it's hella funny too - Pandapool alone deserves his own spinoff from this series! Bunn has a lot of fun playing around with the various Deadpools in an off-the-wall plot that sees numerous Deadpools killed in inventive and bizarre ways. The fourth and final issue that closes out this mini-series and the Killology is out on the day before Halloween so new readers have plenty of time to jump onto this most fun of Deadpool titles well before then.
