So Tony Stark is evil. Or, not exactly evil, but certainly more ruthless than the character we've grown used to seeing in Iron Man and the Avengers. The events of Marvel's AXIS event saw most major figures having their alignment inverted, turning heroes evil and villains good. In some characters, though, the change wasn't that simple. Tony Stark has always existed in something of a grey area, alignment wise. The character has been prepared to commit evil deeds in the name of the greater good. Actions with good intentions have often gone awry. And even overlooking all of his mistakes, there's still the fact that Tony Stark spends untold billions so he can fly around in a shiny metal suit when the technology he's created could save lives across the world. But the character has always been basically good. While the majority of characters affected by AXIS have returned to their original status as either heroes or villains, Tony has remained in his inverted form. But with the Marvel Universe destroyed in the lead up to this year's Secret Wards event, how long will this change last? It's already hinted that Tony Stark won't be an active member of the Avengers once Secret Wars concludes, but does anyone really believe that he'll continue to play the villain indefinitely? Normal service will resume in: January 2016
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
