Okay so Convergence spun out of two weekly titles: Futures End and Worlds End. Futures End set up the Cosmic Brainiac story, and Worlds End set up the main heroes of Convergence the Earth 2 heroes. Now if you are capable of reading, you can pretty much guess what one of the main points of Worlds End. Simply put: the world ends. Darkseid and the forces of Apokolips destroyed Earth 2 at the end of the series, leaving the survivors without a planet. Right before the world was actually destroyed though, Brainiac transported the main heroes from Earth 2 to the planet Telos. As a nice little epilogue for Convergence, we see that the Earth 2 heroes are transported back to their own universe, and the planet Telos will now serve as the new Earth 2 where the survivors along with the main heroes can repopulate the planet. Obviously, this is where the new DC book, Earth 2: Society, will pick up next month in issue #1. So yeah... despite all the confusion, all's well that ends well.
