6 Mega Universe Changing Spoilers From DC’s Convergence #8

2. The Merging Of Multiverses?

DC Comics The collapse of the Multiverse in Crisis on Infinite Earths is undone. It never happened. The original Multiverse survived; the Anti-Monitor never succeeded in destroying any of the infinite universes€ which begs the question: what the hell happened to the 52 different universes we saw in Grant Morrison€™s The Multiversity? Convergence #8 does not answer this question directly, but it seems that both the Pre-Crisis and Post-Flashpoint Multiverses have merged. You ask, how does that work? For example, the Pre-Crisis Earth-Three merged with the post-Flashpoint Earth-3, therefore uniting the timeline of the pre-Crisis Crime Syndicate with the post-Flashpoint Crime Syndicate. If this isn't convoluted enough for you, I'm happy to let you know that it gets more complicated. Certain periods from DC's main continuity get merged with timelines from other universes in the the Multiverse. For example, the 90's legacy characters' (Kon-El Superboy, Kyle Rayner Green Lantern, Conner Hawk Green Arrow etc.) timeline merge with Earth 16's world featured in Morrison's The Multiversity. Confused? That's comics. Mind you, this theory is gathered from two splash pages that show each the Convergence timelines merging with different parts of the Multiverse. And while many will continue to debate the impact of this event for years to come, one thing is for sure: characters from any point in DC's continuity are up for grabs. They all exist in an infinite number of universes in the DC Multiverse or Multi-Multiverse - depending on how DC's editorial team want to handle Grant Morrison's The Multiversity.

Bryant does suffer from a mild case of dyslexia; misspellings and homonyms are to be expected on occasion.
