7 Best Times DC Characters Used Power Rings

Yep, it's another entry from Blackest Night.

The 2009/2010 DC event saw several heroes and villains receive a power ring toward the end, with Mera becoming a Red Lantern, Wonder Woman a Star Sapphire and Scarecrow a member of the Sinestro Corps, just to name a few.

Though, while seeing each and every one of these characters receive a ring was certainly fun, it was the Flash's joining of the Blue Lanterns that truly made the moment special.

In terms of his unwavering desire to help people Barry Allen is basically the Captain America of the DC Universe, so seeing his ability to inspire hope be reflected in the form of a Power ring was as satisfying as the times Cap has been able to wield Mjolnir in the comics.

This moment had all the elements of what makes these occurrences great: a tangible reason for why the character was given the ring; an awesome costume, and a similarly brilliant one-liner - in this case it being the slogan of the Blue Lantern corps.
