6. Where Did The Ego Stone Go?

The reason why you may not have heard of the Ego Stone is because it never existed in the regular Marvel continuity, which is known as Earth 616.

When Nemesis destroyed herself, the six Infinity Stones were dispersed around the universe while the seventh Stone was cast into a different reality called Earth 93060, AKA The Ultraverse. This reality mainly revolves around a group of superheroes called Ultraforce, who stop superpowered beings called Ultras from getting out of hand. (It's like a combination of the Avengers and the X-Men.)

Marvel, the Ultraverse, Nemesis, and the Ego Stone all came together in the two-part saga, Avengers/Ultraforce, in 1995. Shortly after Thanos was defeated in The Infinity Gauntlet series, the Stones were stolen by Rune, a vampiric creature from the Ultraverse.

The God of Mischief, Loki, entered the Ultraverse to claim the Infinity Stones for himself. The Grandmaster (who was portrayed by Jeff Goldblum in Thor: Ragnarok), entered this reality as well to retrieve the Mind Stone since he was the original keeper of the Stone before Thanos stole it. While there, the two learned that the Ultraverse housed a secret Infinity Stone...
