The Injustice Universe spawned from the best-selling fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. However, it has since extended into its own comic book universe of questionable morals and characters all over the alignment chart.
This is a universe in which Superman killed the Joker for murdering Lois Lane. This led him down a dark path that culminated in him ruling over the entire Earth. Early on in this conflict, Damian Wayne mistakenly killed Dick Grayson, leading to him being ejected from the Bat family. Not knowing who he could turn to anymore, this led to a long, complicated journey between good and evil.
Damian is already a complex character struggling with nature vs nurture. But add in the difficult moral choices required to navigate the Injustice Universe and your plot writes itself.
