8 Cancelled Marvel Legacy Series That The Fans Will Miss

2. Guardians Of The Galaxy

A strange choice, given the popularity of their steller MCU films, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Legacy run, the culmination of Gerry Duggan and Marcus To's skills, has abruptly met its end. Admittedly it’s quite likely that due to the aforementioned popularity they’ll see a reboot of some sorts, but it’s a grim show of the times to see the likes of Star Lord, Groot and Rocket Raccoon stop going to the presses.

As hinted at earlier, the cancellation of this series kind of came out of nowhere. It was a shock, not just because it was such a popular series, but because it ended seemingly halfway through an event. Set to release early in January, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy #150’ was revealed to be part one of a story titled ‘The Return of Adam Warlock’, and yet the following issue is said to be no more.

This story involved Adam Warlock (as keen eyed readers may have been able to deduce) as well as infinity stones, so perhaps it hit a little too close to home for the upcoming Avengers film? That’s one theory, though it’s unlikely we’ll ever know why the Guardians have gone.

A fun factoid is that the team we all know and love are actually the second iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Pne of the many post-credits scenes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 showed Sylvester Stallone talking to a ragtag group of Ravagers; it was them and Yondu who were the originals. Weird, huh?
