Once youve learnt to knit or sow (or spend on your credit card?) organize an epic costume for an event shes likely to be at. Comic Con? Rage Fest? Go online and find out where her fandom might be meeting in an area close to her. Stand out from the crowd and she will most likely notice all the effort and planning that went into the costume. Admire hers and tell her she looks good (and she will, because she could wear a rag and you will still be in love).
