8 Things DC Comics Wants You To Forget About Poison Ivy

4. She Once Controlled Superman

Although yes, it's true that Superman did (on a subconscious level at least) resist Ivy's commands, the Man of Steel was still very much under the control of Ivy during Hush. A pretty terrifying prospect, all things considered.

So terrifying in fact, that it's never resurfaced in the comics since. The fact that Poison Ivy was able to control Superman is just a really frightening display of her potential, and slightly universe breaking as well. Like, surely Lex Luthor should've caught onto the very obvious potential of this power play years before? Or at the very least enlisted Ivy's help for some sort of harebrained scheme?

If anything, it places Ivy among the top-tier of DC's supervillains. And while that's not a bad thing per se, one only has to wonder how Batman's survived his many encounters with the villain, if not even Superman could mount a proper resistance to her mind games.
