8 Things DC Comics Wants You To Forget About Poison Ivy

1. Her Original Name

Poison Ivy (Pamela Lillian Isley to most), has actually had several names over the years. Gotham changed it to Ivy Pepper (for some reason), but Ivy herself hasn't always been called Pam in the comics.

Her original name (so was revealed in a forgotten Wonder Woman spin-off) is actually Lillian Rose, and it stuck for a good ten or so years before Neil Gaiman set about changing it with a new origin.

The change came in Secret Origins #36, which not only eliminated the Lillian Rose name altogether, but her original origin too, at which point Gaiman tied the Floronic Man to the character's roots (eh), and provided us all with the name we all know (and accept) to be the character's most popular moniker.

It's not exactly a controversial alteration, but seriously, Lillian Rose? Really? The other name is so much more punny.
