Although Suicide Squad was never something to write home about, Margot Robbie's performance as Harley Quinn was one of the film's few redeeming aspects. She had the voice, the look and the presence to make it work in live action, but other Harleens haven't been as fortunate.

For those not in the know, the Birds of Prey was a short-lived TV show centred around the eponymous team from the comics, led by Oracle, Huntress and Black Canary. Among the few villains the series was able to boast was Harley Quinn, who was played by Mia Sara during its initial 13 episode run. There, she's cast as a psychiatrist who - unbeknownst to the wider team - was the original Quinn when Joker was still around.

This Harley is as interesting as any other, but considering that Birds of Prey only has one home release to speak of, it would seem as though DC would prefer this series - more than others - to go unnoticed.
