8 Things Everyone Always Gets Wrong About The X-Men

3. Juggernaut Is A Mutant

Cain Marko may have been unfortunately etched into the public conscious curtesy of a trademark 'banter' Vinnie Jones performance, but there's something else that's problematic about that portrayal - Juggernaut isn't a mutant.

Marko may be the stepbrother of Professor X, but the two have next to nothing in common. Marko actually derives his powers from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. As the Juggernaut, he is then able to turn himself into an unstoppable force, and often ends up coming against the immovable object of Xavier's team.

Ultimately, the only thing Juggernaut has in common with the X-Gene is that he's an enemy to the X-Men (and occasionally Spider-Man). He has a helmet that can resist psychic infiltration, sure, but he isn't a mutant.
