6. Cheaper And More Frequent Comics

More so than any character change, it’s a shift in DC’s business practices that might be the best thing for fans. That’s because once Rebirth hits, all of their comics across the board will retail at $2.99. We can argue the virtues of DC compared to Marvel all day long, but this is an objective case of DC having a clear edge in the competition.

The minuscule price point is sure to help draw readers in and makes the medium a lot more easily justifiable for people who may be on the fence about purchasing. In times when Marvel routinely offers issues at $1-$2 more than this, that difference can add up in a hurry.

On top of this lowered price, DC is doubling down with their most famous characters. Though there’s always been plenty of Batman and Superman books, the main comics starring the primary heroes of DC will now release twice a month. That means the likes of Wonder Woman, The Flash and Green Lantern will all be showing up every other week. It’s a bold step to try and carve into Marvel’s dominance, and from a fan perspective, it’s hard not to love it.
