Heavily related to the last point, rather than The Joker's luck coming down to him knowing he's in a comic book and knowing the outcome of any given situation regardless of his actions, some people actually theorise that his luck is actually his superpower. Really, how else could an insane man with no armour, no real organisation and no other superpowers be such a formidable rival to Batman? Up to the point of Batman arriving to thwart his plans, they always seem to go exactly how he intended - and that's in spite of the fact they are convoluted, often result in his near-death and last-minute escapes and, on the surface, seem utterly ludicrous. Other than luck, some have theorised that his "power" might be to instantly learn the information required to pull something off, or to instantly know everything Gotham's police force knows, or something any comedian would kill for - a super-powered sense of timing.
