9 Classic Marvel Characters The Punisher Has Killed
2. The Whole Marvel Universe
If Frank Castle isn't bumping off its iconic characters individually, he's killing the entire freaking Marvel Universe in the space of a single issue.
The Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe one-shot takes place, once again, in an alternate universe where the vigilante's family were killed in the crossfire of a battle between the Avengers and the X-Men, rather than being whacked by the mob.
This is enough to place every hero and villain on Marvel's books onto Castle's hitlist, and he picks them off one by one, starting with Cyclops, Kitty Pryde and Hawkeye. Spider-Man and Venom are next, followed by the Hulk, Doctor Doom, Ghostrider, the rest of the X-Men.. everyone, basically.
Punisher's killing spree ends in tragedy when he rams a blade through Daredevil's chest. Removing the Man Without Fear's mask, he's greeted by the face of Matt Murdoch, who in this reality happens to be his best bud.
On that revelation, Castle takes the life of one more iconic Marvel character: his own.
