9 Most Inappropriate Comic Book Couples

3. Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch (Ultimate Comics)

Long before Cersi and Jaime Lannister brought incest into the mainstream, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff from the Ultimate Universe were already violating the laws of man and nature. Once again, the pair's difficult upbringing was blamed on this bizarre coupling. Having been rejected by his father, Quicksilver sought comfort in the arms of the woman who reminded him of his dead mother; his sister. Right. Once again, everyone else seemed to be entirely unconcerned by the pair's relationship. The only exception was Captain America, but that was just because his old-fashioned 1940's brain couldn't fathom such 21st century concepts. Fortunately, the Wasp was on hand to explain the whole thing to him. Because incest is totally acceptable in today's society.
Oh, and in one of the most disturbing scenes, the couple consummate their love while Wolverine watches from the bushes. The fact that Wolverine may have been the twin's father in the Ultimate universe made it even worse.

With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
