9 Reasons Why DC Really Is Better Than Marvel

7. The Villains

Marvel has some great villains, but DC's are out of this world.

Batman's Rogues Gallery is just something else altogether, with Joker, Two Face, Riddler and more all icons in their own right. Throw in Superman's enemies on top of that, including the likes of Lex Luthor, Braniac and Mongul, to name but a few, and it's made abundantly clear that DC's villains reign supreme (in a very non-literal way, of course).

Again, it's not as though Marvel are lacking in this department either; their universe is jam-packed with compelling and iconic adversaries, including Galactus, Green Goblin and the Red Skull. None are quite on DC's level though, and while it could be argued that Marvel have placed greater emphasis on their heroes rather than their villains, qualitatively speaking, most of their heroes are on the same level as DC's.

It tips the scales in DC's favour, despite each universe possessing its own kind of charm, and while both publishers have spotlighted as many good heroes as they have bad, there's just no way Marvel wins this battle.
