9 Times Batman Broke His One Rule And Killed

1. Kicks Qayin Into Cables (Batman: Son Of The Demon)

Batman Qayin
DC Comics

Qayin AKA Quinlan Landor was the godchild of Ra's al Ghul and his wife Melisande. The pair would look after him as a youngster, when his parents went away on missions, working for Ra's.

They died whilst on a mission and Qayin blamed Ra's. He started behaving bizarrely and Ra's' daughter Talia wanted him to be expelled from the house. Ra's couldn't bring himself to do this, which resulted in the death of his wife, as Qayin caused her to fall into an early version of the Lazarus Pit, which killed her. He fled, re-emerging years later as a terrorist.

He set in to motion a plan to use a weather satellite as a weapon against Earth, whilst also seeking eternal life as he was dying - for which he sought Ra's al Ghul out. In attacking Ra's, he caused Talia to lose her unborn child - that of Batman's - which prompted Batman to join the fight against him. When Qayin tried to kill Ra's with sparking electrical cables, Batman pushed Qayin into them himself, electrocuting him.
