Batman 'Death of the Family': 5 Ways It Could Go Down

2. Joker Will Turn The Bat-Family Against One Another

This is 'Death Of The Family', not 'A Death In The Family', which means it's much more likely we'll see an end to the Bat-family as we know it rather than an actual, literal death. As we saw in Batman #13, Joker says Batman has gotten soft because of his support team of Nightwing, Robin, Red Robin, Batgirl and Batwoman - and that's how the Court Of Owls has been able to get the better of him this past year. Is Joker planning on taking out each of Batman's associates so that the eternal battle for Gotham's soul can be between Batman and himself? From the first issue and the covers of the upcoming issues of Batman, Detective Comics and The Dark Knight, it certainly seems so. However, I don't think it's going to be as simple as killing them. Instead, I think Joker will try, in some way, to turn the members of the Bat-family against one another, so that they no longer function as a team, or care for one another as a family. How he'll do this is anyone's guess, but if anyone is capable of it... Likelihood: 8/10
