9. Julia Pennyworth
DC ComicsThe introduction of Julia Pennyworth - estranged daughter of Bruce Wayne's trusted butler Alfred - marked the first appearance of the character since she was retconned out of existence by the DC event series Crisis on Infinite Earths. Her debut in the New 52 continuity is hopefully more than a cameo, as her real role in Eternal is yet to play out. So far, Julia has been working for SRR in Hong Kong, attempting to take out a mob boss associated with Carmine Falcone. Batman interferes, as Batman is wont to do, and Julia ends up injured. Thankfully, her father has more than a fair share of experience treating battle wounds, and he nearly divulges as much to Julia back at Wayne Manor. Will Julia discover Bruce's secret identity? Her view of her father is less than flattering, and she shows visible disappointment that her father follows and dotes on a spoiled playboy. There's still a lot of Eternal left to play out, so you can bet that Julia will discover her father's true, honorable nature among the filth of Gotham as a warrior for the Good Side.
