10. Bat-Armor
DC ComicsIt's no secret that Bruce Wayne has a surplus of gadgets, suits, weapons, vehicles, and accessories to allow him escape from nearly any situation. Bat-copters, bat-databases, shark-repellent bat-spray - you name it, the Dark Knights probably got it. Bruce has sported body armor in his rotation of suits on more than one occasion, but his entrance in Eternal #1 wearing a formidable weaponized getup showed the experience of this particular Batman. The timeline of Eternal has always been in contention, as it takes place in the New 52 continuity and yet exists outside of the regular Batman and Detective Comics lines, but this is clearly a Batman who has been operating for some time. The newbie, purple-glove wearing Batman of Scott Snyder's other current arc Zero Year - a new origin story for the Caped Crusader, and an excellent one - is replaced by a Batman with enough crimefighting know-how to keep a spare bat-armour lying around. Bruce's entrance heralded a miniseries in which Batman knows what he's doing - a fact which makes the impending challenges all the more threatening.
