Batman: The Adventures Continue - Everything We Know About BTAS' Return

9. It Will Be Illustrated In The Style Of The New Batman Adventures

While Batman: The Animated Series' initial run of 85 episodes is considered its best, the show did briefly return for a spin-off sequel series in 1997 titled The New Batman Adventures. With more streamlined character designs and a distinct lack of art deco, it was quite the revamp for the stylized show - but one that worked almost every bit as well as its predecessor.

Now, judging by the two pages of panels released by Entertainment Weekly, it appears that this will be the style that Batman: The Adventures Continue will be going for. A shock given that it was the somewhat less popular of the two? Perhaps. However, it sets this apart from the original Batman Adventures comic series (which was in the style of the original Animated Series) and allows Ty Templeton to try his hand at the revamp designs instead.

Based off those released panels, it's safe to say he's nailing it.
