Captain America #13 Review
In Captain America #13, Captain America continues to struggle with the losses of Ian, the boy he raised in Dimension Z, and Sharon Carter. However, Frank Simpson, who is known as Nuke, is threatening Nrosvekistan. Sam Wilson, known as the Falcon, does not understand the alliance that has developed between his friend, Steve Rogers and Jet Black. Jet is the daughter of Arnim Zola, one of Captain America's greatest villains. Sam does not trust Jet and has difficulty comprehending the influence Jet had on the decision Steve made to burn many of the items in Captain America #11 that Steve held onto for decades. Jet tells Sam that perhaps he is not the person who knows Steve best anymore due to the time Steve spent in Dimension Z and escaped with Jet back to Earth. Maria Hill tells Sam that Steve is needed because of the danger Nrosvekistan is in due to Nuke. Sam does not believe Steve is ready to go back to battle. However, while Nuke is terrorizing the citizens of Nrosvekistan, Captain American and the Falcon arrive to fight Nuke. The issue concludes with Captain America and the Falcon attempting to defeat Nuke, which will continue in Captain America #14. One of the most interesting developments in the new story arc of the Captain America title is Jet Black adjusting to new home on Earth in New York. It will be intriguing for comic book readers of the Captain America title to find out the role Jet will have in future issues. Captain America #13 by Rick Remender and Nic Klein is available now.
