10. Daredevil: Hardcore
Looking to reclaim his title as the Kingpin Of Crime, Wilson Fisk returns to New York with his mind set on one thing: the total annihilation of the one man capable of halting his ascent to the throne, Daredevil. To this end, he enlists the aid of the psychotic Typhoid Mary and everybody's favorite sharpshooting maniac, Bullseye. Daredevil and Kingpin have long been engaged in a perpetual cycle of hatred, a never-ending feud that's left both psychological and physical scars on both men. Something's gotta give, and it does as Matt decides he's done playing by Kingpin's rules and takes the fight to his doorstep. What follows is a beat-down so swift, brutal, and shocking in its viciousness that its intention couldn't be any clearer if it were written in blood. Hell's Kitchen belongs to the new Kingpin Of Crime, and that man is Matt Murdock. The final issue in this arc is a visual treat, a no-holds-barred melee brought to life by a cavalcade of legendary artists from Daredevil's history, featuring such names as Gene Colan, Klaus Janson, and John Romita Sr.
