11. Daredevil: The Devil Inside And Out

You can imagine that dealing with an assortment of colorful crazies, both inside the courtroom and out, is a hard enough job for any one man, but then again, things have never been easy for Matt Murdock. Whether it's the deranged Bullseye, or the Machiavellian Kingpin, The Man Without Fear has had to contend with the worst of the worst and he's fought tooth and nail to keep them off the streets. But what happens when you find yourself thrown behind bars with the very people you've put there? Well, that's exactly where Matt Murdock is at the start of Ed Brubaker's run on Daredevil. Picking up right where Bendis' run left off, Matt is imprisoned on Ryker's Island along with a veritable who's who of supervillains and criminals - from the mundane to the certifiable. Lines blur as hero and villain are forced to work alongside each other in a battle for survival and freedom. The Gotham Central team of Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark prove to be the perfect duo for the unenviable task of following up Bendis' legendary run on the character- Brubaker seamlessly picks up the threads and crafts a classic run to rival the greats.
