Death Of Wolverine: 10 Ways To Make It Not Suck

6. Having Heroes Fighting Heroes

Yep, another major problem plaguing the industry is having heroes fighting one another rather than the villains. Marvel in particular has become utterly obsessed with this idea to the point where it dominated multiple crucial events; with the likes of Schism, Civil War, World War Hulk, Age of X, Avengers vs X-Men and many others focusing purely upon heroes fighting and murdering one another. Unlike the brief scuffle in the Avengers film, these aren't dealt with and pushed to one side to deal with any actual threat, with tensions and egos running rampant within the stories. As Marvel seems to think this is a winning formula for any book it wants to make successful, it wouldn't be unexpected to see Wolverine's final hour involve him gutting Captain America or attempting to behead Storm. This would taint any memory of the character and would draw more complaints than it ever would praise, and would rob the story of a major strength. Unlike many of his compatriots in the X-Men, Logan has a sizeable rogues gallery of famed villains; any and all of who would be an asset for any kind of final brawl to send off Logan. Sabretooth, Silver Samurai, Lady Deathstrike; there€™s a sizable number of villains who would want to take down Wolverine personally and have a long standing enmity with him. One last fight would help to give full closure to Logan€™s life and tie up any final loose ends, unlike suddenly having him fighting the Avengers for some contrived reason.
