Every Time Thor Has Died In Comics (And How He Came Back To Life)

Given the relationship between Thor and the equally powerful Hyperion has not always been a smooth one, you wouldn't instinctively expect the pair to die together. But in issue 32 of the New Avengers, when the chips are down and the insanely powerful Beyonders are flooding into the universe to wipe out all life, the pair know what they have to do - and so go bravely charging to their deaths together, like the biggest damn heroes.

This death is made even sadder for the fact that initially, it appears as though the pair might be okay, as they beat a single Beyonder down after some immense effort, only for the floodgates to open and hundred of the blue armoured blighters to fly into view.

If there's one trend that every Thor death needs to have, it's that he needs to run towards it with as much gusto as is physically possible - because, after all, it's the easiest way for him to get back to Valhalla.
