Every Weapon In Wonder Woman's Arsenal

3. The Gauntlet Of Atlas

Wonder Woman Sword Shield
DC Comics

Named for the Greek hero, who himself possesses immense strength and demi-god powers, this armoured glove increases the wearer's strength by a factor of ten, as well as buffing their stamina and toughness.

The Gauntlet is powerful enough that a human wearing it once survived a punch from Doomsday, even though she was significantly stunned and no doubt very sore. The Gauntlet originally appeared as two separate bracelets, but those have since been melted down and reforged as a single glove.

While Diana has worn the Gauntlet on occasion, most notably to fight a version of Doomsday, there are drawbacks. The effects of the Gauntlet work best on the arm it's being worn on, leaving one arm stronger than the other, which can make melee combat very tricky.

In Wonder Woman's case, due to her already immense strength, wearing the Gauntlet puts her in an almost berserker mode as it is extremely difficult for her to manage her strength at the level the Gauntlet boosts it to.

The Gauntlet of Atlas is a rarely-used item, which, given what it could do in the (literal) wrong hands, is probably for the best.
