Every Weapon In Wonder Woman's Arsenal

The history of Diana's invisible aircraft is strange even by Wonder Woman standards.

The plane was originally the one flown by Diana's long-time love Steve Trevor when he accidentally discovered Themyscira. To return him and Diana to the 'world of man', his plane was outfitted with Amazonian technology. Diana then used the plane in her comic adventures for decades.

In later years, her jet was retconned to be alien technology given to Diana by grateful alien race. The craft could now self-repair, carried weapons, could undertake space flight, and was mentally connected to Diana.

Since getting, then losing, then getting again her ability to fly, the plane is now an invisible secret base of operations for Diana called the WonderDome.

Although it hasn't been used in some time, for years it was a mobile headquarters and embassy for Diana to use to represent Themyscira. In recent years it has been decommissioned and the remains are in Washington, D.C.

Her invisible plane may be obsolete since her powers changed, but in the early days of her existence, giving a female superhero such an independent and powerful means of transportation was a radical move.
