1. Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman and Lor-Zod/Chris Kent/Nightwing
The most iconic superhero of them all, Superman, became a dad in Geoff Johns, Richard Donner and Andy Kuberts 2006 story arc Superman: Last Son where a Kryptonian vessel similar to Supermans comes crashing toward Earth. Superman saves it and discovers a young boy inside whom Superman later finds out is Kryptonian and called Lor-Zod. Clark Kent along with his wife Lois Lane become Lor-Zods adoptive parents naming the boy Chris Kent. Chris, it turns out, is the biological son of one of Supermans greatest enemies, General Zod. Chris was conceived and raised in the Phantom Zone before escaping it, however his departure weakened the passage between the Phantom Zone and the rest of the universe, allowing Zod, Ursa and Non to escape, raise an army and invade Earth. Zod and Ursa reclaim Chris and capture Lois while Superman is sent to the Phantom Zone. Chris manages to protect Lois while she is in Zods custody, using his powers to keep her from harm. Superman eventually escapes with the help of Mon-El and is able to defeat Zod, once more sending him back to the Phantom Zone. Chris realises he cant leave the Phantom Zone as it was his departure that enabled his destructive parents to escape it in the first place and leaves Earth to go back to the Phantom Zone. But before he leaves, theres an emotional scene between him and Clark and Lois where he thanks them for providing him with a proper family. In another great Superman book, Secret Identity, Clark and Lois have 2 daughters who grow up to have superpowers and become the new Superwomen of Earth, taking over when their aging father decides to hang up the cape. Unsurprisingly, Superman is a great father to his kids, whether adopted or biological, and acts as a surrogate father to the dispossessed and lost of the world, inspiring us all to become better people.
