3. Tyler Durden Lives Again

From the looks of it in the preview, the frequenting of support groups looks to be a slip back into old habits, rather than something Marla has been continuing on with since the events of Fight Club. A lot of the sequel appears to involve that sort of regressing to way things were, and that's true of characters on and off the page. For the most part, it looks like The Narrator has eradicated Tyler Durden from his life. In the film that's done a little more literally, as the gunshot to the head apparently (miraculously) took out the section of his brain where that alternate personality took root. In Fight Club 2, it seems as if the mental health treatment worked similar wonders. When Marla lets it. Even in that preview, though, the man who now calls himself Sebastian finds it difficult to leave the man's shadow. He buys flowers from a florist who looks pretty beat up and offers them for free, recognising €œTyler Durden€; and that anarchist hobby of his young son suggests Durden lives on elsewhere...
