1 That Sucked: Simon Baz 
Geoff Johns has added a great deal to the Green Lantern universe but his (arguably to some) lamest and weakest creation was Simon Baz. Not just because he's yet another Earth Lantern, not because his costume makes him look like a Mexican professional wrestler, but because it's all in the name of vanity. Simon Baz is of Arab heritage as is, you guessed it, Geoff Johns. In a post 9/11 America, a writer could do and say a lot with a superhero of Arab heritage but Johns hasn't. He's just an Arab who was accused of a terrorist plot and then nothing else was done with that angle. He just sits there, wearing a mask and using a gun (which I would think some Arabic people might find offensive) doing absolutely nothing even remotely interesting. Baz is a failed idea because it's an unrealized one.
