3. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
The decision to include Rocket Raccoon in Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is very significant. Not only is it a testament to his rising star in the comic book world but it was also the first time we'd ever seen the diminutive bad ass outside of a comic book panel. More importantly even than all that though was this video game served as an early prototype for exactly how the character should look on screen and how awesome a movie version of Rocket Raccoon really could be. Truth be told we would be far from surprised if the guys behind the 2014 movie revealed they took inspiration from this game. There's a real chance that a crossover with The Avengers could occur at some point soon if Guardians of the Galaxy proves as successful as we think it will be. With a character like this there's always a risk of creating the next Howard the Duck (shudder) which could seriously hurt the reputation of Iron Man, Thor et al if they share a screen with him or his crew but Marvel Vs Capcom 3 has given us confidence that Marvel wont mess this up. Let's just hope they don't turn him into something fluffy before the 2014 release date finally comes around.
