1. It'll Release This August

Much like the MCU is gearing up for a whole new phase this summer, it looks as though Marvel Comics are gearing up to do the same. Patrick Gleason was hired just last month and the announcement was accompanied by an image of the new-look Marvel Universe, complete with new designs for several characters.

With War of the Realms set to formally wrap things up come June - and with it Jason Aaron's stint on Thor - as well as Jonathan Hickman gearing up to start a whole new dawn for the X-Men, it certainly seems as though something big is happening this summer. The fact that Marvel Comics #1000 releases in August only adds more fuel to the fire.

Currently, there's no word on when Marvel's 80th b-day bash will release in August specifically, but it's set to cap off a pivotal summer for the House of Ideas. Changes are clearly afoot, but whereas most reshuffles are met with almost a sense of weariness these days, Marvel looks as though it's in a good place currently.

Here's hoping that, when it releases, Marvel Comics #1000 is every bit the celebration it's chalked up to be.
