MCU Phase 4: 10 Obscure Comic Villains Who Should Appear

1. Morbius The Living Vampire

Marvel Comics

A slightly grander villain to Spider-Man than the previously aforementioned Tombstone, Morbius, the Living Vampire is another nemesis whose story could offer a different turn in front of camera. We’re done with the goblins and finished with the flying birds - now we’re moving into much darker territory.

Dr. Michael Morbius accidentally gives himself a form of vampirism and must absorb "plasma" (the series used this in as a PG substituted for "blood") from living hosts in order to stay alive. It all sounds a bit “The Lizard,” whose story was explored in Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man, but the whole Nosferatu dimension gives Morbius so much more scope to make a more menacing hit.

We have the advantage of knowing former True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard has already got the whole vampiric thing nailed down. His portrayal of bad-but-likeable Eric Northman for six years was good, although Morbius might require something a lot less refined when he descends to his most maniacal.

At 6'4", Skarsgard has the lean physique to pull off a gangly, Greek-born Morbius, although the bloodthirsty background of his character may make him a difficult pitch to producers.

Ideal Casting: Alexander Skarsgard

Tom Sunderland hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
