8. Red Lantern Corps
The Red Lantern Corps wield the Red Light which is fuelled by their rage. They are considered to be the savage counterparts of the Green Lantern Corps, and since Red Light is at one of the ends of the Emotional Spectrum, Red Lanterns also have less control over their powers and are driven by rage.
It was formed by Atrocitus, one of the five surviving members of the Massacre of Sector 666. Using blood magic, he was able to harness the red spectrum of light which allowed him to empower the rage within him.
The Red Lantern Ring was formed from pure rage and the blood of the Inversions, natives of Sector 666. After submitting to the rage instilled by the ring, he proceeded to butcher the remaining Inversions and created the Red Lantern Power Battery and more Power Rings from a lake of blood formed from the dead Inversions.
Lastly, Atrocitus sent out the rings throughout the universe, which then chose its wearers who felt great rage after suffering from immense loss.
Oath: "With blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, together with our hellish hate, we'll burn you all, that is your fate!"
