Origins Of 10 Different Lantern Corps And Their Oaths

7. Orange Lantern Corps

Orange Light represents the feeling of greed. Hence, there shall be only one Orange Lantern in existence at a time and that lantern is Larfleeze, also called Agent Orange. There was only one exception to this rule, when Lex Luthor had a Orange Lantern Ring during the events of Blackest Night.

A very long time ago, Larfleeze belonged to a guild of thieves. Eventually, after losing all but two members, the thieves came across the possession of two immensely powerful artefacts. One of the artefacts was a box containing Parallax and an Orange Power Battery.

The Guardians made a deal with Larfleeze and his comrade Blooch to let them keep the Orange Power Battery in exchange for the box holding Parallax, but with the condition that the Power Battery shall never leave the place it was found and only one of two shall possess it. Entranced by the Battery's power, the two comrades fought to the death and Larfleeze came victorious. The Guardians made a treaty with him which stated they would stay out of Vega System for him to be left in peace and isolation.

The Orange Ring is very powerful ring which allows Larfleeze to absorb the energies of other rings and create Avatars of beings he has slain. Using this, he is capable of creating entire armies of his own - only at the expense of his own serenity.
