Predicting Marvel's New Guardians Of The Galaxy

Phyla-Vell (or Quasar or Martyr, if you prefer) is another candidate that would be a superb addition to this band of rogues. Her superhuman strength and flight are run of the mill superhero stuff, but her fire blasts add a cinematic flair to any of her action sequences too.

If this is to be the line-up, it would be especially interesting to see Phyla-Vell and Moondragon team up again. Not only did Phyla-Vell revive Moondragon, losing her Quantum Bands to Maelstrom in the process, the two have been romantically linked before. Having the pair of them as members could allow the writers to explore new territory for the Guardians, creating deeper story arcs, plus there's also the possibility of tension arising as a result.

Though in comic book terms she's still a relatively new character (debuting first in 2003), her personality has grown in that time. Recent versions have seen her be abrasive and aggressive - just the type of nature she'll need if she's to mesh well with the new Guardians.
