Predicting Marvel's New Guardians Of The Galaxy

Clearly, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has big plans for Adam Warlock. His emergence from his cocoon was teased at the end of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, but in the comic books themselves he's often been an integral part of the Guardians too.

That should continue in this new team. He was crucial to the old group, and a key figure in the rebooted team despite ultimately leaving. It makes sense for him to feature as a founding member this time around too, even if he does leave at some point to be replaced by another hero.

As a figure of salvation, he could gel well with characters like Cosmic Ghost Rider and Moondragon, both of whom could be taken down the redemption arc path if the writers so wish.

In a few ways, Adam Warlock cast himself as the pseudo leader of the crew, and a personality like his is needed to tie them all together. While the Guardians wouldn't be the Guardians if everything ran smoothly, you feel Warlock's hand at the wheel would at least get them all heading in the same direction.
