Serenity: No Power In The Verse - 5 Things That Must Happen

4. Explain Blue Sun

Since the first episode of Firefly, Blue Sun has loomed in the background. The logo is seen everywhere: from shirts, to billboards, to water bottles, it cannot be escaped.

Blue Sun is far reaching, being seen on central planets and ones closer to the outer rim. Is this part of the government, or maybe some kind of corporation with a monopoly? It's not clear what this organization does or even produces.

Whedon has been known to layout stories years in advance ,and it's easy to believe he had a plan for Blue Sun. One of the advantages that comics based on Whedon's properties have is that he is actively involved, especially in the Serenity comics. Whatever his plan was for Blue Sun, we'll hopefully be seeing it shortly.

Given how far reaching Blue Sun's influence seems to be, it's likely that the fallout from the end of Serenity would affect them. Blue Sun could either be directly connected to the Alliance, or they could just be really great at branding. Either way, Dark Horse has the opportunity to uncover this lingering question brought up in the show.
