There are very, very few things that the Spider-Man clone saga gave birth to that people actually look back on with any kind of fondness. Sure, Ben Reilly is mostly remembered well, but there's a lot about him that fans of his would much rather forget.

However, one series spawned from this infamous era of the webslinger's life that pretty much everyone agrees was the best version of what it was trying to do until Renew Your Vows came along to compete for the throne.

Mayday Parker: The Spider-Girl.

Going off of a sub-plot from the Clone Saga about Peter and MJ almost having a kid, which then apparently died from miscarriage (or not, the story arc where this happened is very unclear about this), Spider-Girl takes place in an alternate universe where that bit of unpleasantness didn't happen, and Mayday Parker grows up into a confident young woman, and the current webslinger of New York.

Her series, starting off as a one shot what if story, eventually became so popular that it ran in its own series for a very respectably long time. Something that very few other Spider-Men have managed to replicate until recently.
