People tend to forget just how nightmarishly huge Spider-Versewas as an event. Sure the important beats are remembered, such as Spider-Gwen, Superior Spider-Man meeting the classic and so on, so forth. But because of its size, a lot of interesting side spiders were left by the wayside because there was just so much else to focus on.

Case in point: Pavitr Prabhakar, the Spider-Man of India.

Pavitr actually appeared in one or two alternate universe stories before, but like the other alternate Spider-People, he's best remembered for Spider-Verse. In his universe, Pavitr is an Indian teenager who earns a scholarship to a nice school in Mumbai.

However, like all Peter Parkers, he's a social outcast almost immediately, his only friend being a girl named Meera Jain. But unlike Peter Parker, instead of a spider, he gets his powers from a yogi, who grants him his abilities in order to combat a demon possessed crime lord.

We didn't get a lot of time with Pavitr, which is a real shame. There's enough setup here for his own series. Maybe one day that'll happen, and we get to see the further crazy adventures this unorthodox Spider-Man goes on.
