Spider-Man: 10 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Miles Morales

1. He Might Be Immortal

In the Ultimate universe, Peter Parker was bitten by an arachnid that was genetically altered by the Oz formula, which was created by Norman Osborn. After learning the spider-bite granted Parker with superpowers, Osborn injected himself with the Oz concoction, giving him superstrength, agility, and a healing factor.

However, it also transmogrified him into the deranged and monstrous Green Goblin.

Despite the fact Osborn has been incinerated, impaled in the spine, and shot in the head, he's never been put down for good. Even when he is killed, the Oz formula reanimates his body, sometimes seconds after he dies. Osborn believes the serum flowing through his veins has granted him immortality.

Since Miles obtained his powers from the same formula, Osborn is under the impression that Miles is also immortal.

Because Miles and Osborn have drastically different powers, this sounds like a baseless claim at first. But there might be something to it. Just before Osborn died (one of many times), he beat Peter Parker to death. Months later, Miles discovered that the Oz formula rejuvenated Parker.

If there is some truth in Osborn's hypothesis, it will be interesting to see the comics explore Miles' potential immortality in the future.
