Spider-Man - 10 Worst Things J. Jonah Jameson Has Ever Done

9. Wanting To Sue Peter Parker

J. Jonah might have a troubled relationship with Spider-Man, but the web-slinger isn't the only one to feel the wrath of New York's nastiest editor-in-chief. As well as being an all around bully to most of his staff at the Daily Bugle, Jameson repeatedly does his best to undercut and exploit the likes of Peter Parker as well.

Parker has been fired multiple times from the Bugle by Jameson, and the editor-in-chief is shown consistently laughing off or raging at Pete whenever the issue of a raise or an advance is brought up around him.

However, She-Hulk #9 gave fans a Jameson moment that really showcased just how strained this relationship could become. Following Spidey's public unmasking, Jameson is thrown into a fiery fit of rage, feeling both betrayed and embarrassed that the man he had been calling a menace and a villain had been on his payroll year after year.

He then goes on a warpath of trying to sue Peter Parker for all the money he had given him in the past, presumably hoping to break him and restore a bit of his knocked pride. Fortunately, he learns that the government has granted amnesty for everything he had done to protect his identity, and She-Hulk is able to steer Jameson off that particular legal path.
