Star Wars Rebels may be over, but its already cemented itself as a vital part of the new Star Wars continuity. One of the animated series' key figures was the Jedi Kanan Jarrus, a survivor of Order 66 who went into hiding, only to fall into the path of the Rebellion in the years leading up to the Battle of Yavin.

Kanan's past was referenced repeatedly throughout Rebels, but audiences were rarely given a look into what Kanan got up to during the Clone Wars. Fortunately his comic, Kanan: The Last Padawan, reveals all, and it's one fans of that show will definitely want to read if they get the opportunity.

Written by Greg Weisman with art from Pepe Larraz, The Last Padawan reveals how Kanan was able to survive the Jedi Purge and goes into detail regarding his relationship with Jedi Master Depa Billaba. It works as both a companion to Rebels, and as a standalone story of how a Jedi survived the events of Revenge of the Sith.
