Star Wars Chewbacca Comic
Marvel Comics

Chewbacca is, in many ways, Star Wars' unsung hero. Towering over Luke, Han and Leia, Chewie was a staple of the Original Trilogy but has always had to settle for a back seat in the films, rarely getting an opportunity to explore his character beyond his friendship with the aforementioned trio.

However, for those who can't get enough of the walking carpet, Star Wars: Chewbacca is something they'll definitely want to check out. Written by Gerry Duggan and featuring some stunning art from Phil Noto, the comic picks up after the events of A New Hope and sees Chewie left behind after a Rebel mission goes wrong.

On his own, and desperate to return home, Chewie comes to the help of a young girl called Zarro, whose people are caught between the two oppressing forces of the Empire and the gangster known as Jaum.

Duggan's work on Chewie embodies all there is to love about Chewie, between his warm exterior and his fierce resolve. Make sure you don't neglect it.
