The New 52: What Could Be Cancelled Next?

5. Legion of Super-Heroes

rv4ZJCurrently Selling: Around 16K copies per month Status: On the Verge! Legion of Super-Heroes was a New 52 titles which ironically was very unfriendly to new readers. As soon as #1 was released complaints were voiced on the evil internet of how it seemed to be a continuation of the last volume more than a reboot. What this meant was after the titles' strong debut in September 2011 with 45,000 copies sold, it quickly slipped off the radar for many readers looking for a new title they could fully sink their teeth into - not one dogged down in continuity. It's worth noting that it seems like DC themselves forgot about this title at one point, as they failed to update the Legion of Super-Heroes page on their website with a twenty-first issue! Rest-assured that the title will be getting an #21. In fact, the #21 solicitation even ends with "The Ultimate tale of Super-Hero survival continues," suggesting this isn't the final chapter in the arc and there will be more after #21. How many more though is in doubt as the numbers continue to fall for this series. So, are you reading any of these titles at the moment? Were you ever reading them? Let me know in the comments what you'd be sad to see go or what you're surprised hasn't been cancelled already!
